RE:   Mayne Island – St. John Point 
 
On behalf of the Mayne Local Trust Committee we write in follow up to our letter from July 31, 
2019.  The Local Trust Committee wishes to remind you that the zoning for St. John Point park is 
“passive park”. We also wish to remind you that part of the land in question is within the Agricultural 
Land Reserve with restrictions on development in the relevant act.    
 
We note that certain developments have occurred or are planned to occur with the park area. We 
would request that you work with the Local Trust Committee to ensure that the planned “development” 
is consistent with the intent of a passive park zoning and the restrictions in the ALC. We are concerned 
that development not occur that is not consistent with the zoning.
