We, the undersigned owners of Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) designated, A1 
(Islands Trust) zoned property on Hornby Island would like to take this opportunity of 
the LUB review to requesting an amendment to the Hornby Island Land Use Bylaw 
Charter that ALR/A1 zoned properties align with BC’s current and future Agricultural 
Land Commission ALC act. 
 
The current Land Use Bylaws (LUBs) regarding ALR and A1 zoned properties on 
Hornby are unclear and can be contradictory.  This makes investment and operation 
in the agricultural sector and the farms on Hornby uncertain and unstable, 
threatening our livelihoods and our very existence on
