NOTICE OF COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETING 
 
PROPOSED REZONING FOR SPIRITUAL EDUCATION RETREAT LAND USE 
 
On June 14
th
, 2021 the Galiano Island Local Trust Committee (LTC) will be holding a 
Community Information Meeting (CIM) on the proposed rezoning of District Lot 90, Lot 9 
and District Lot 88 & 89 Lot A, North Galiano Island, to allow for the development of a 
spiritual education retreat facility. Lot 9 (20.5 hectares) is currently zoned Rural 2 (R2) and 
Lot A (4.0 hectares) is zoned Forest 1 (F1).  
 
At this meeting, the LTC and the applicant will be sharing information about the proposed 
rezoning and associated draft bylaws No. 256 and 257 and responding to questions.  
 
Representatives of the applicant, the Crystal Mountain Society, will be in attendance. 
 
The draft bylaws, staff reports, professional reports and other background information
