[0:00:34] Voice 1: executive local trust area, the Bolinas-Winchelsea Islands, have been home to Indigenous people

[0:00:41] Voice 1: Their deep connection to these islands continues to this day, and we honor their enduring presence,

[0:00:53] Voice 1: I'm elected on Salt Spring Island, the chair of trust council and the chair of this local

[0:00:57] Voice 1: And I'm joined today by trustee David Maude and trustee Tim Peterson and trustee Toby Elliott.

[0:01:10] Voice 1: I'm going to turn the floor over to CAO Broney to introduce the staff that are joining us today.

[0:01:15] Voice 2: Thank you, Chair. Joining us on the staff side today, we have manager of bylaw compliance and enforcement, Warren Digman,

[0:01:21] Voice 2: and Director of Legislative and Information Services,

[0:01:25] Voice 2: David Marler, and Rob Croker and Catherine

[0:01:28] Voice 2: are supporting us on the administration of the meeting.

[0:01:39] Voice 1: about land use planning matters

[0:01:41] Voice 1: and discuss relevant business.

[0:01:43] Voice 1: This is also a place of employment

[0:01:44] Voice 1: and our staff have the right

[0:01:45] Voice 1: to a safe and respectful workplace.

[0:01:50] Voice 1: So trustees, we have an agenda before us.

[0:02:10] Voice 1: here this morning no no it doesn't appear we did so i don't need to uh uh read into that so then

[0:02:53] Voice 3: community charter in order to consider matters related to law enforcement.

[0:02:56] Voice 3: If the council considers the disclosure can reasonably be expected to harm the conduct of an investigation or enforcement of an enactment, litigation or potential litigation affecting the Islands Trust and the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communication that's necessary for that purpose, and that staff attend the meeting.
