DENMAN ISLAND LOCAL TRUST COMMITTEE www.islandstrust.bc.ca VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Housing Advisory Planning Commission Members The Denman Island Local Trust Committee (LTC) is seeking expressions of interest for volunteers to be appointed to a new Housing Advisory Planning Commission (HAPC). The role of the HAPC will be to provide advice and recommendations to the LTC on policy and regulations to address a wide range of housing needs on Denman Island and support the LTC initiated Housing Review Project. Eight volunteer members will be appointed for a period of two years. A ‘Terms of Reference’ guiding the purpose, role and frequency of meetings of the HAPC will be developed in coordination with the LTC. Denman Island residents are encouraged to apply, including those who have served previously on a general or specialized APC (i.e. Marine, Transportation, or Agriculture). The deadline for expressions of interest is April 10, 2023.
