Minor Official Community Plan Amendments
What is Proposed Bylaw No. 123 about?
Proposed Bylaw No. 123 will amend the South Pender Official
Community Plan (OCP) to include a First Nation
introductory/acknowledgement statement and building design
and siting guidelines. The building design and siting guidelines
are intended to be used, where feasible, when the South
Pender Island Local Trust Committee considers Development
Variance Permit applications to vary the maximum floor area of
residential buildings.

A copy of the proposed bylaw, the Public Hearing Binder and
other information on the project is available on the South Pender
Current Project webpage and, at the Islands Trust office at 200-
1627 Fort Street, Victoria, BC, V8R 1H8 from the hours of 8:30
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding statutory
holidays, after April 19, 2022. 
A Community Information Meeting (CIM) will be held prior to
the Public Hearing and will provide the opportunity for members
of the public to ask questions about the proposed bylaw
amendments.

Written submissions are welcome up until the conclusion of the
Public Hearing and can be emailed to
