NOTICE OF COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETINGS: Flexible Housing 
 
For  over  a year  the Mayne Island  Local  Trust  Committee  (LTC) has  been  working  on  identifying 
approaches  to  increasing  affordable  housing  on  the  Island  while  limiting  impact  to  the  natural 
environment.   After detailed exploration of possibilities, the LTC is supporting an approach that will allow 
additional dwelling units on smaller lots within a maximum square footage (Flexible Housing).  
 
 
 
 
The  purpose  of  this  CIM  is  to  provide opportunity  for community  input  on  draft bylaws which  include 
options for number of houses, square foot maximums and proposed area for piloting the Flexible Housing 
initiative.
