1. CALL TO ORDER 
Chair Rogers called the meeting to order at 1:07pm.  He acknowledged that the meeting was 
being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
By general consent the agenda was approved as presented. 
3. BUSINESS ITEMS 
3.1 Mayne Island Local Trust Committee Meeting Procedure Bylaw No. 188 (for 
consideration) 
Regional Planning Manager (RPM) Robert Kojima reviewed the draft Bylaw noting it was 
a meeting procedures bylaw for electronic Local Trust meetings and that it is based on a 
bylaw adopted in 2014.  It addresses electronic meetings and stipulates a minimum of 2 
in person meetings yearly to be held in accessible locations for public attendance.   
Discussion included the addition of “postings, modifying language to be gender neutral 
and that prior to adoption there should be a Public Meeting for input on provisions.

 It was Moved and Seconded, 
that the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee amend Bylaw No. 188 to include 
“on island postings in locations accessible to the public and in Local Trust 
Offices”.   
CARRIED 
 
RPM Kojima informed the committee that there are 2 copies of draft in circulation and that this 
phrasing has been added to Section 3. 
 
  MA-2022-002 
  It was Moved and Seconded, 
that the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee request staff to remove Sections 
18 through 40 from draft Bylaw No. 188.

amended be read a First time.
