When they plan such a time you wonder if it is because they want to be able to say 'we tried but no one showed up' and ' there was very little response to our adgenda'. Firstly, may I commend you on soliciting the views of local stake holders on ‘Planning” issues in your mandate area. However, if you truly intend to solicit local input from those on Secret Island, you could not have possibly chosen a more inconvenient and inappropriate time and location for such a meeting. No owners live on Secret Island, we all have to travel from afar, many are employed during day time hours. The intent that owners attend a one hour meeting on a working day, with no agenda, is patently not reasonable. On Secret Island there are 38 properties represented by 31 owners, a significant community in that part of the Gulf Islands. I would hope that a consultive meeting of owners, together with those owners on Prevost Island, could be organised to allow maximum participation of stake holders. I have , and this is the first and only occasion in the past years that the Trust authority has had any communication with me . I would appreciate an explanation for the calling of this meeting, we might be able to be prepared for the subject of concern. 2 Owners on Secret Island have long and often considered the possible future of the farm on Prevost Island given the ownership structure. Speaking solely for myself, there are a number of issues that are of concern should a change in land use be under consideration;
