ADOPTED Hornby LTC Minutes ADOPTED 1 Novermber 21, 2014 Hornby Island Local Trust Committee Minutes of Regular Meeting Date: Location: November 21, 2014 Room to Grow 2100 Sollans Road, Hornby Island, BC Members Present David Graham, Chair Alex Allen, Local Trustee Tony Law, Local Trustee Staff Present Rob Milne, Island Planner Vicky Bockman, Recorder Others Present There were three (3) members of the public in attendance. 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Graham called the meeting to order at 11:35 am. He acknowledged that the meeting was being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The following additions to the agenda were presented for consideration: 12.4.1 Updated Policies and Standing Resolutions 13.1 Denman Island Local Trust Area Bylaw Referral Request for Response Regarding Bylaw Nos. 212 and 213 13.2 Local Trust Committee Meeting Day Discussion By general consent the agenda was adopted as amended. 3. MINUTES 3.1. Hornby Island Meeting Minutes of October 10, 2014 For Adoption By general consent the Local Trust Committee meeting minutes of October 10, 2014 were adopted. 3.2. Section 26 Resolutions Without Meeting None 3.3. Advisory Planning Commission Meeting Minutes None ADOPTED Hornby LTC Minutes ADOPTED 2 Novermber 21, 2014 4. BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES 4.1. Follow-up Action List dated November 12, 2014 Planner Milne summarized the Follow-up Action List and reported on current status of activities. 5. CORRESPONDENCE (Correspondence received concerning current applications is considered with the application) 5.1. Email dated October 29, 2014 from Jennifer Heron, BC Ministry of Environment regarding Habitat Restoration and Stewardship Actions for Taylor's Checkerspot Butterfly Letter of Support Trustee Law reported that he attended a presentation on Taylor's Checkerspot Butterfly habitat enhancement and expressed his support for the project and for providing a letter of support as requested in the correspondence. HO-2014-060 It was MOVED and SECONDED that the Hornby Island Local Trust Committee Chair be requested to write a letter of support for the Habitat Restoration and Stewardship Actions for the Taylor's Checkerspot butterfly on Hornby Island. CARRIED 6. TRUSTEES' REPORT Trustee Allen noted that he and Trustee Law wanted to express their appreciation to the Hornby community for their election to another term by acclamation. He commented that he is looking forward to the next Trust Council meeting and to serving for another term. Trustee Law reported that he attended the concluding Ferry Advisory Committee (FAC) meeting of this term and noted that BC Ferries will be seeking new members to serve for the next term. He advised that the FAC has been considering the proposal to provide assured loading for some number of Hornby Island traffic on the 8:00 am sailing from Denman West
