Others Present: There were five members of the public present. 
 
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER 
Chair Hancock called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m. Introductions were made and 
Chair Hancock acknowledged that the meeting was being held on the traditional territory 
of the Coastal Salish Nation.  
 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
2.1. Additions/Deletions 
The following additions to the agenda were presented for consideration: 
9.1  Correspondence from the Pender Islands Trust Protection Society (PITPS) 
9.2  Correspondence from Cameron Thorn  
 
     By general consent the agenda as amended was approved.

Jane Perch spoke about the pending North Pender Waste Management Bylaw and its 
importance to South Pender residents. She discussed support for community meetings, 
concerns about composting, and a desire for a slow approach.    
 
Bruce McConchie congratulated Trustee Montague for attending the Land Use Bylaw 
Focus Group meetings and discussed dates for reviewing the reports.

Regional Planning Manager (RPM) Kojima provided information from the Follow 
Up Action Report dated September 2014. 
Trustee Montague updated the LTC on the feasibility of installing marker buoys 
and the estimated cost.

Sara Steil spoke on behalf of the PITPS and asked the LTC to support promoting 
an upcoming educational event on the costal Douglas-fir biogeoclimatic zone.
