Approximately 6 community members attended. The meeting included public input, staff reports, development application considerations, and updates from elected officials. Town Hall: A community member raised concerns about an application proposing three full‑time dwellings, citing OCP inconsistency, lack of a housing agreement, water and rainwater issues, enforcement history, and perceived benefit to the owner. Reports & Correspondence: • Trustee Patrick reported on Remembrance Day events, regional housing and co housing discussions, BC Ferries engagement, Trust Policy Statement outreach, and recent training sessions. • Chair Peterson reported on Trust Council budget review, operational recommendations, ongoing budget reduction work, and federal discussions on cell tower consultation processes. • Correspondence was received regarding SGI research on full time RV living. • A letter to Minister Boyle regarding Salt Spring housing was received for information. • Draft minutes of the SSI LCC–LTC joint meeting were received. • Staff noted ongoing correspondence from Community Services regarding Agricultural Land Reserve removal processes. Bylaw & development applications updates: • PLDVP20250324 – 360 Collins Rd (setback variances for sewerage system & dwelling) - Approved • PLDVP20250388 – 114 Jackson Ave (side lot line setback variance) - Approved • PLDVP20250359 – 1150 Sunset Dr (setback variance for existing beach access) -Approved • PLRZ20250001 (120 Mansell Rd) – Staff directed to proceed with the application to permit one oversized cottage and reduced setback by drafting a bylaw for LTC consideration. LTC further resolved that third reading would be withheld until decommissioning of an existing dwelling. • PLRZ20250220 (154 Kings Lane) – Housing Agreement Bylaw No. 550 given three readings; Bylaw No. 549 advanced pending required conditions. Both bylaws were also referred for legislatively required approvals.
