VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: GET INVOLVED 
IN LOCAL PLANNING DECISIONS 
 
The Denman Island Local Trust Committee is seeking expressions of 
interest for its Advisory Planning Commission (APC).   
 
The role of the APC is to consider referrals from the Local Trust 
Committee on various land use planning matters such as Official 
Community Plan, Land Use Bylaw amendments and development 
applications. 
 
Up to nine volunteer members are needed for a period of two years, and 
approximately two to three meetings per year.   
 
Please note the Local Trust Committee will only be filling positions on the 
Advisory Planning Commission at this time. Denman Island residents and 
landowners are encouraged to apply, including those who have served 
previously on a general or specialized APC (i.e. Marine, Transportation, or 
Agriculture).  The deadline for expressions of interest is Monday, July 29, 
2024.
