Trust Committee Bylaw No. 113, cited as “Thetis Associated Islands Official
Community Plan, 2014, Amendment No. 1, 2023” in accordance with
Section 27 of the Islands Trust Act.

organize and deliver a two hour webinar to trustees,
regarding the legislative framework of, and responsibilities
under, the Canadian Species at Risk Act.

1.  That the Executive Committee direct staff to prepare a
project charter for a project to prepare for advocacy to the
Province for changes to the Islands Trust Natural Area
Protection Tax Exemption Program (NAPTEP) regulation to
increase the incentive available.
 
2.  That the Executive Committee direct staff to apply for a
one-time Grant for Local Governments to Advance
Biodiversity Conservation on Private Lands with the Fraser
Basin Council to undertake analysis of tax shift scenarios for
the Islands Trust Natural Area Protection Tax Exemption
Program (NAPTEP) and to prepare a request to the Province
for changes to the Islands Trust Natural Area Protection Tax
Exemption Program (NAPTEP) regulation.
