CALL TO ORDER Chair Crumblehulme called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. Chair Crumblehulme acknowledged that the meeting was being held in Coast Salish First Nations territory. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 2.1 Introduction of New Items None 2.2 Approval of Agenda By General Consent, the agenda was approved as presented. 3. ADOPTION OF MINUTES 3.1 November 6, 2017 Minutes By General Consent, the minutes of November 6, 2017 were adopted as amended. Trust Programs Committee Minutes of January 24, 2018 Page 2 4. TRUST COUNCIL BUSINESS 4.1 Identifying changes that improve delivery and integration of services – Briefing Trustees discussed the required improvements to service delivery and integration and the steps involved in achieving these changes. Discussion points included: Gathering input from Salt Spring Island and other Local Trust Committees on current concerns and challenges. The need for any changes to take into consideration the rural aspect of the islands communities. How to improve relationships with other agencies. How to gain the resources needed to develop an analysis and initiate and maintain changes The meeting recessed at 11:57 a.m. resumed at 12:32 p.m. Vice Chair O’Sullivan and Trustee Luckham left the meeting at 12:32 p.m. The discussion continued and focused on applying for government funding to assist in acquiring necessary resources to complete this work. TPC-2018-001 It was MOVED and SECONDED, that the Trust Programs Committee requests staff to submit a Business Case to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for the use of $125,000 for the improvement of the provision and integration of government services within the Trust Area. CARRIED TPC-2018-002 It was MOVED and SECONDED, that the Trust Programs Committee recommends staff prepare a report that summarizes input
