1. CALL TO ORDER 
Chair Brent called the meeting to order at 11:33 am.  He acknowledged that the meeting was 
being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
By general consent the agenda was approved as presented. 
3. TRUSTEE REPORT 
Acting Chair Brent – nothing to report. 
Trustee Middleton – Lee reported that he is working as a member of the Parks Liason 
Committee and also reported the formation of the first standing Governance committee 
of the Islands Trust Council which meets on July 29, 2022. 
4. CHAIR'S REPORT 
 None. 
5. TOWN HALL AND QUESTIONS 
No comments. 
6. COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETING 
6.1 Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw Minor Amendments Project - Proposed 
Bylaws 133 and 134 
Planner Smith summarized the OCP and the LUB projects: 
Bylaw No. 133, and Bylaw No. 134 amendments are to address zoning and wording in 
the LUB review project. 
1. To rezone land around Money Lake Park as park land;

2. To legalize the shed on the school grounds; and 
3. All the park land had not been made park zone.  Marine zone and some of the small 
islands were missed.  The land was improperly zoned as wilderness reserve. 
7. PUBLIC HEARING 
7.1 Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw Minor Amendments Project - Proposed 
Bylaws 133 and 134  
  7.1.1 Recess for Public Hearing  
The Saturna regular meeting was recessed for the Public Hearing for the proposed 
Bylaw No. 133 and Bylaw No. 134 at 11:41am. 
7.1.2 Recall to Order 
The Public Hearing was closed and the Regular meeting recalled to order at 
11:48am. 
8. MINUTES 
8.1 Local Trust Committee Minutes Dated May 19, 2022 (for Adoption) 
By general consent the Local Trust Committee meeting minutes of May 19, 2022 were 
adopted as presented. 
8.2 Section 26 Resolutions-without-meeting Report   
None 
9. BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES 
9.1 Follow-up Action List Dated July 2022 
For information  
Whale watching resolutions will be discussed at the Saturna LTC October 20 meeting. 
Report about the GW solutions water report available to answer questions. 
Staff will book a Community Information Meeting regarding the fees bylaw within the 
October 20 LTC Regular meeting.
