NOTICE 
 
SATURNA ISLAND LOCAL TRUST COMMITTEE 
APPLICATION FOR A NEW LOUNGE LICENSE 
 
The Feral Goat Winery has applied to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) to add a new 
Lounge including Outdoor Patio to their Liquor Primary License.  
 
As local government, the Saturna Island Local Trust Committee (LTC) is required to consider the 
application and provide the LCRB with a written recommendation.  
 
In order to receive public comment, and to provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions of the 
applicant, a Community Information Meeting (CIM) has been scheduled as part of the LTC Regular 
Meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2022, starting at 11:30 a.m., at the Saturna Recreation and Cultural 
Centre, 104 Harris Rd, Saturna Island. 
The property subject to this application is located at 32 Trueworthy Road as shown on the map (below).  
The subject property is zoned Farm Resort (F1) where the sale of wine and cider including tasting 
facilities and a licensed restaurant for the sale and consumption of beverages on the premise are 
permitted uses.    
 
 
 
The following must be considered by the LTC as part of their response to the LCRB: 
 Location: The lounge is located in a separate building on the property that has operated in the 
past as a bistro and tasting room. The proposed patio area is immediately abutted to the interior 
service area on the south of the lounge building.

Proposed Operating Hours:  Regular proposed hours of service would be from 10 AM to 4 PM, 7 
days per week primarily during the spring, summer and fall seasons. 
Additionally, dinner service may be provided 3 or 4 days per week from 5 PM to 10 PM. 
Occasionally, special events will be held such as weddings which will be from 10 AM to 11 PM.  
 Maximum capacity – maximum capacity of 175 people for the lounge and patio combined.
