This motion was approved. The 2021/2022 data collection indicates that the Area G Gulf Islands residents use these facilities. The usage data showed minimal usage by Gulf Island residents. I put forward a motion to exempt the Gulf Islands from Regional Recreation and the motion was defeated. Per CVRD Finance Dept. Staff “At the expected $202,122, the residential tax rate per $100,000 of assessed value would be $15.33.
