THAT the Thetis Island Local Trust Committee Bylaw No. 96, cited as “Thetis Island Official Community Plan, 2011, Amendment No. 1, 2015”, be adopted. 2. That the Thetis Island Local Trust Committee Bylaw No. 97 cited as "Thetis Island Land Use Bylaw, 2011, Amendment No. 1, 2015", be read a third time. 3. That the Thetis Island Local Trust Committee Bylaw No. 97 cited as "Thetis Island Land Use Bylaw, 2011, Amendment No. 1, 2015", be forwarded to the Secretary of the Islands Trust for approval by the Executive Committee. REPORT SUMMARY The purpose of this report is the following: Request that the Local Trust Committee (LTC) consider adoption of Bylaw No. 96; Report back to LTC regarding supplemental information requests to Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, Transport Canada and Penelakut Seafoods Ltd.; and Request that the LTC consider third reading of Bylaw No. 97. BACKGROUND On May 9, 2016, the Thetis LTC held a Community Information Meeting and Public Hearing. At the May 24, 2016 LTC meeting, staff summarized the public submissions that had been received until the close of the Public Hearing on May 9th. The LTC passed the following resolutions at the May 24, 2016 LTC meeting and staff comments are provided where follow up was undertaken: TH-2016-031 It was MOVED and SECONDED that the Local Trust Committee request that the Chair write a letter to the Province being notified in the future of changes to the License of Occupation of the Penelakut Seafood Mariculture Licence.
