Local Trust Committee Minutes
September 18, 2014 ADOPTED Page 2 of 7
Planner Richardson briefly summarized proposed Bylaws No. 112, 113, 114,
and 115.
Chair Hancock responded to questions regarding specific processes for
making submissions at this meeting. A process to accommodate inclusion of
written statements from others not in attendance was agreed upon. People
were encouraged to submit a copy of their submission, either in person today
and/or letter and email to the Islands Trust Office. As there were many
individuals wishing to speak, five minutes was allocated for each
presentation. Once all individuals had one chance to speak, those who had
not completed their first statement could then continue.
Janet Land requested that the letter from Pat Lapcevic, a late submission at
the August 8 meeting and not included as part of the late agenda package,
should be included in the information binder.
Chair Hancock clarified the Islands Trust policy for the process of handling
correspondence. Public Hearing submissions and referral documents are
retained in a binder at the office but are not posted on the Islands Trust
Website.
SA-2014-050
It was MOVED and SECONDED by the Saturna Island Local Trust
Committee that the letter from Pat Lapcevic be noted as received and
shall be included in the information package for the next Local Trust
Committee meeting.
