1. CALL TO ORDER  
 
Chair Graham called the meeting to order at 10:52 a.m. 
 
Chair Graham acknowledged that the meeting was being held in the traditional territory 
of the Coast Salish First Nations.   He also acknowledged the presence in the gallery of 
past Islands Trust Chair Kim Benson. 
 
 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
 
The following additions to the agenda were presented for consideration: 
 
14.3 Hunting on southwest peninsula of Gambier 
14.4 Howe Sound Community Forum request 
14.5 Annapolis update 
 
By general consent the agenda was approved as amended.

3. MINUTES 
 
3.1 Gambier Island Local Trust Committee Meeting Minutes dated January 30, 
2014 
  
The following amendment to the minutes was presented for consideration:  
 
• Page 4, item 7.1, first paragraph, line 3: replace “garbage incineration” with 
“solid waste disposal”. 
 
By general consent the minutes were adopted as amended.

3.3  Gambier Island Advisory Planning Commission Minutes – none 
 
 
4. BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES 
 
4.1  Follow-up Action List dated March 10, 2014 (reviewed after item 10.1) 
 
Island Planner Brzozowski provided an update on the Follow-Up Action List 
dated March 10, 2014 and responded to inquiries by trustees. 
 
Trustees extended thanks to Islands Trust staff for the time and support for the 
February 21, 2014 Howe Sound Community Forum webinar. 
 
 
5. CHAIR’S REPORT 
  
Trust Council met on Hornby Island.  During the budget session, Council approved a 
zero increase budget. Provincial treaty negotiators gave a presentation on the treaty 
process. The Community Stewardship Award closing date is the middle of April. 
 
 
6. TRUSTEES’ REPORT 
 
Trustee Hagedorn gave an outline of her activities since the last Local Trust 
Committee meeting as follows:
