MINUTES OF THE GALIANO ISLAND  
LOCAL TRUST COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING  
HELD ON SATURDAY, MARCH 8, 2014, AT 1:00 PM 
AT THE LIONS PARK HALL,  
GALIANO ISLAND, B.C. 
 
PRESENT:  Ken Hancock    Chair 
   Louise Decario   Local Trustee 
   Sandy Pottle    Local Trustee 
Kris Nichols    Island Planner 
Kim Farris    Planner 1 
   David Millership   Recording Secretary 
   
There were approximately forty-eight (48) members of the public present. 
 
1. OPEN HOUSE 
  
From 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. the public had an opportunity to view meeting material 
panels. 
 
2. CALL TO ORDER 
  
 Chair Hancock called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. Introductions were made and 
 the meeting introduced. 
 
Chair Hancock stated appreciation and acknowledgment that today’s meeting is 
taking place on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish people. 
 
3. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA 
 
 3.1 Additions/Deletions 
 
  Chair Hancock asked for any additions or changes to the agenda;   
  no amendments were made. 
 
   The agenda by consent was Approved. 
 
 3.2 Questions from the public on Agenda Items 
 
None 
 
4. COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETING 
 
 4.1 Short Term Vacation Rentals (STVRs)

 It was MOVED and SECONDED, 
That the Galiano Island Local Trust Committee Special Meeting be 
adjourned at approximately 3:40 p.m.
