DRAFT LAND USE BYLAW - VERSION JULY 2012: Attached is a copy of the draft land use bylaw for the associated islands. The initial draft has been developed in consulation with several land owners and is consistant with the Associated Islands Official Community Plan and Project Charter. Text highlighted in yellow is pending further consultation with affected landowners. Map schedules will be labeled and inserted in time for the community information meetings. The key highlights of the draft LUB include: i. Seven customized residential zones regulating use, density, siting and subdivision of the island properties; ii. Zoning for parkland, private conservation and marine conservation; iii. Provisions for sleeping cabins in accessory buildings on residential lots; iv. Incoroporation of all Land Use Contract (LUC) provisions and site specific zones where applicable; v. Additions and modifications to several key definitions including ‘structure’; agriculture; ‘guest house’ and ‘small scale wind turbine’.
