MINUTES OF THE LASQUETI ISLAND LOCAL TRUST COMMITTEE MEETING 
HELD AT 11:00 AM ON THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2012 
AT THE ARTS CENTRE, LASQUETI ISLAND, BC 
 
 
PRESENT:  David Graham   Chair 
Peter Johnston  Local Trustee 
Susan Morrison  Local Trustee

Melinda Auerbach  Recorder 
 
There were three (3) members of the public present. Chair Graham introduced Peter Luckham, 
past chair of the Lasqueti Local Trust Committee, to the audience. 
 
 
1. CALL TO ORDER 
 
The meeting was called to order at 11:00 am. 
 
 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
 
The agenda was approved by consensus with the following amendments: 
 
 Add 4.4 Islands Trust Minutes Program 
 Add 11.6 Electronic Meetings 
 Add 11.7 Lasqueti Annual Report contribution 
 
 
3. TOWN HALL SESSION 
 
There were no speakers for the Town Hall session. 
 
 
4. MINUTES 
 
4.1 Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee Meeting Adopted Minutes dated January 
12, 2012 – for information 
 
Planner Prowse advised that the January 12, 2012 Local Trust Committee 
Meeting minutes were adopted before this meeting by Resolution Without 
Meeting. 
 
4.2 Resolutions Without Meeting 
 
The log of Resolutions Without Meeting dated March 1, 2012 was received for 
information. It was noted that Resolutions Without Meeting take place between 
scheduled Local Trust Committee meetings to ensure that Local Trust 
Committee business is carried out in a timely manner and that Resolutions 
Without Meeting are reported on at Local Trust Committee business meetings.

4.3  Advisory Planning Committee Draft Minutes 
 
The draft minutes of the Advisory Planning Commission dated November 7, 
2011 were presented for information. 
 
4.4  Islands Trust Minutes Program 
 
Trustee Morrison reviewed the information presented at Trust Council regarding 
the recording of minutes and she requested that the Lasqueti Island Local Trust 
Committee use the Trust Council policy on minute taking at its business 
meetings. 
 
LA-06-2012 It was MOVED and SECONDED that the Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee 
adopt the Islands Trust Policy Manual section 2.2.v. (Islands Trust Council 
Minutes Guidelines) for recording Lasqueti Local Trust Committee meeting 
minutes.

5. BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES 
 
5.1 Follow up Action List dated March 1, 2012 
 
Planner Prowse reviewed the Follow Up Action List with the Local Trust 
Committee. 
 
 
6. DELEGATIONS 
 
There were no delegations. 
 
 
7. CORRESPONDENCE 
 
The Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee will receive correspondence specific to an 
active development application and/or project when that application and/or project is on 
the agenda for consideration.
