MINUTES OF THE GABRIOLA ISLAND LOCAL TRUST COMMITTEE MEETING 
HELD AT 11:30 AM ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2012 
AT THE GABRIOLA COMMUNITY HALL 
2200 SOUTH ROAD, GABRIOLA ISLAND, BC 
 
 
PRESENT:  David Graham   Chair

There were two (2) local media representatives and twelve (12) members of the public in 
attendance. 
 
 
1. CALL TO ORDER 
 
Chair Graham called the meeting to order at 11:31 am. He introduced himself, the Local 
Trust Committee, and staff to the public in attendance. 
 
 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
 
The agenda was reviewed and the following changes and additions were made: 
 
 Add letter dated February 6, 2012 from Robert Ferris and Denese Izzård-Ferris as 
item 13.2.1 
 
The Local Trust Committee adopted the agenda by consensus as amended. 
 
 
3. MINUTES 
 
3.1 Local Trust Committee Meeting Minutes of January 19, 2012 
 
The Local Trust Committee reviewed the minutes of the January 19, 2012 Local 
Trust Committee meeting and the following amendments were made: 
 

 Page 4, item 6.3, delete second and third sentences 

 Page 7, item 8, Trustee Rudischer, add final sentence, “She was not opposed to 
the gun club but to the level of noise.” 

 Page 7, item 8, Trustee Malcolmson, first sentence, replace “the Denman 
Cooperative Housing project” with “cooperative housing residents” 

 Page 7, item 12, last sentence, replace “Wild Life’s (GROWL’s)” with “Wildlife 
Society’s (GROWLS)” 

 Page 9, item 13.1.1, second sentence; insert “Mudge Island Official Community 
Plan list of community” before “amenities and that...” 

 Page 9, item 13.1.1, add final sentence, “Mr. Littlejohn requested that the Local 
Trust Committee defer its decision while he considers amending his application.

The Local Trust Committee reviewed the draft minutes of the October 25, 2011 
Volunteer Review Committee for information. 
 
 
4. BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES 
 
4.1 Follow-up Action Report dated January 9, 2012 
 
The Local Trust Committee reviewed the Follow Up Action Report dated  
February 6, 2012. Planner Fox requested that some of the older items be reviewed
