ADOPTED 1 GBLTC Meeting Minutes ADOPTED January 19, 2012 MINUTES OF THE GABRIOLA ISLAND LOCAL TRUST COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT 10:15 P.M. ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 2012 AT THE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE 476 SOUTH ROAD, GABRIOLA ISLAND, BC PRESENT : David Graham Chair Sheila Malcolmson Local Trustee Gisele Rudischer Local Trustee Chloe Fox Island Planner Stephen Orgill Recorder There were two (2) local media representatives in attendance, five (5) members of the public attending in the morning and eleven (11) members of the public attending in the afternoon. 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Graham called the meeting to order at 10:15 am. He introduced himself and the Local Trust Committee and staff to the public in attendance. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was reviewed and the following changes and additions were made: • Move items 8, 9 and 10 to after the scheduled break. The Local Trust Committee adopted the agenda by consensus as amended. 3. MINUTES 3.1 Local Trust Committee Meeting Minutes of October 27, 2011 The Local Trust Committee reviewed the minutes of the October 27, 2011 Local Trust Committee meeting and the following amendments were made: • Page 8, item 13.2, third paragraph, second sentence, insert “to her” after “She said that” • Page 8, item 13.2, seventh paragraph, replace “Local Trust Committee” with “local trustees” • Page 9, item 13.1, first sentence, add to end of sentence; “to transfer density from lands off South Road to lands off Daniel Way to create ten new lots.” • Page 9, item 13.1, fourth sentence, remove “the”, to read; “from all of the agencies...” ADOPTED 2 GBLTC Meeting Minutes ADOPTED January 19, 2012 GB-001-2012 It was MOVED and SECONDED that the Gabriola Island Local Trust Committee adopt the minutes of the October 27, 2011 Local Trust Committee meeting as amended. CARRIED 3.2 Section 26 Resolutions Without Meeting The Local Trust Committee reviewed the Section 26 Resolutions Without Meeting log dated January 9, 2012. The resolution to approve the draft Transportation Advisory Committee Terms of Reference dated November 8, 2011 was adopted on November 10, 2011. A resolution to hold the first regular business meeting of 2012 on January 19, 2012 was adopted on December 21, 2011. 3.3 Gabriola Island Advisory Planning Commission Meeting Minutes There were no Advisory Planning Commission meeting minutes. 3.4 Mudge Island Advisory Planning Commission Meeting Minutes dated November 19, 2011 The Local Trust Committee reviewed the draft meeting minutes of the Mudge Island Advisory Planning Commission meeting of November 19, 2011. 4. BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES 4.1 Follow-up Action List dated January 9, 2012 The Local Trust Committee reviewed the Follow Up Action List dated January 9, 2012.
