[0:00:40] Trustee Luckham: Josh, I'm going to welcome everybody to this special meeting of council, which is being

[0:00:55] Trustee Luckham: convened to, in fact, go directly into camera.

[0:00:59] Trustee Luckham: My name is Peter Luck.

[0:01:00] Trustee Luckham: I'm a chair of Trust Council and grateful to be living and working here in Coast Salish

[0:01:04] Trustee Luckham: Territory, advancing the Preserve and Protect mandate and, of course, recognizing the historical

[0:01:11] Trustee Luckham: historical, the history of the First Nations people that have lived here since time immemorial

[0:01:19] Trustee Luckham: and recognizing what's happened through colonialism and that we need to

[0:01:27] Trustee Luckham: not do that again. We need to embrace reconciliation in a meaningful way.

[0:01:35] Trustee Luckham: Okay. So I'm just going to simply go to calling the meeting to order. And we've got an agenda

[0:01:41] Trustee Luckham: here, which simply has a closed session as the one item. Are there any amendments to the agenda?

[0:01:50] Trustee Luckham: Trustee Fast?

[0:01:52] Trustee Fast: I was going to read the motion.

[0:01:54] Trustee Luckham: Thank you. Please go ahead. So I'm going to adopt the agenda as presented by general consent. And

[0:02:22] Trustee Luckham: And I think that gets complicated.

[0:02:32] Trustee Luckham: but let's just go through this slowly and we won't turn off the logins until we're ready to go

[0:02:50] Trustee Fast: i'd move that the islands trust council close this meeting to the public subject

[0:02:54] Trustee Fast: to section 91a of the community charter in order to consider matters related to personal information

[0:03:00] Trustee Fast: about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer,

[0:03:06] Trustee Fast: employee or agent of the Islands Trust or another position appointed by the Islands Trust and that

[0:03:11] Trustee Fast: staff not attend the meeting.

[0:03:15] Trustee Luckham: All right. So that's good. And I'm going to just confirm that I can let

[0:03:21] Trustee Luckham: people in. And so I have a seconder for the motion, Trustee Yates. Thank you. And I'll just

[0:03:30] Trustee Luckham: simply call for the vote all those in favor please raise your hands digitally all right um

[0:03:39] Trustee Luckham: okay so let me just confirm i think that's under am i now host listening no

  It was MOVED by Trustee Fast, and SECONDED by Trustee Yates,  
that the Islands Trust Council close this meeting to the public subject to Section 90(1)(a) 
of the Community Charter in order to consider matters related to personal information 
about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an 
officer, employee or agent of the Islands Trust or another position appointed by the 
Islands Trust; and that staff not attend the meeting.  
CARRIED 
 
The meeting was closed to the public at 1:16 p.m. and staff left the meeting.
