December 2-4, 2025, Islands Trust Council Meeting Announced 
 
Lək̓ ʷəŋən, METULIYE/Victoria, B.C. – Islands Trust Council invites the public to participate in its next business 
meeting being held in Victoria at the Hotel Grand Pacific, 463 Belleville Street, December 2-4, 2025. There are 
multiple options to attend or view the meeting, such as attend in-person, by telephone, or online. 
 
Islands Trust Council, which is comprised of the 24 local trustees and two municipal trustees, meets quarterly to 
make decisions about matters that apply to the entire Islands Trust Area and Islands Trust operations. Islands Trust 
Council receives, discusses, and makes decisions about policies, finances, and proposed work for the coming 
quarter.

Islands Trust Draft 2026/27 Budget – Islands Trust Council will review its initial draft 2026/27 budget. 
 
Islands Trust Operational Review Report – Chief Administrative Officer Bronee will deliver a full report on the 
Islands Trust Operational Review to Islands Trust Council. 
 
Islands Trust Council/San Juan County Council Joint Session – Island Trust Council will meet with San Juan 
County Council Members to discuss joint advocacy on marine matters. 
 
Delegations and Public Comment Period – Members of the public are invited to present as a delegate to Islands 
Trust Council or speak at the Public Comments portion of the meeting on matters affecting the Islands Trust Area. 
Anyone wishing to present as a delegate is required to submit this form along with a complete presentation by

Trust Council works to preserve and protect over 450 islands and their surrounding waters in the Salish Sea and 
welcomes input, comments, ideas, and feedback on topics related to the jurisdiction of the Islands Trust Council.

Islands Trust is a special-purpose government representing over 30,000 people living within the Islands Trust Area 
and 10,000 non-resident property owners. The Islands Trust Area is located within Coast Salish territory and is the 
homeland to many Coast Salish Peoples who have called this place home since time immemorial. Islands Trust is 
responsible for preserving and protecting the Islands Trust Area and its unique amenities and environment through 
conservation-oriented land use planning and regulation, education, and cooperation with First Nations and other 
agencies. The Islands Trust Area covers the islands and waters between the British Columbia mainland and
