1. CALL TO ORDER 
"Please note, the order of agenda items may be modified during the meeting. Times are provided 
for convenience only and are subject to change." 
Chair Patrick called the meeting to order at 9:30 am. She acknowledged that the meeting was 
being held in territory of the Coast Salish First Nations and acknowledged the National Day for 
Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 2021. 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
The following supplementary item to the agenda was presented for consideration: 
 3.3 Electoral Area Director's Report 
 
The following additional items to the agenda were presented for consideration: 
 7.4 Regional Planning Committee Referral regarding a Shoreline Protection Bylaw 
 11.1 New Fees Bylaw – Request for Decision 
 11.2 Electronic Meetings Bylaw 
 
By general consent the agenda was adopted as amended. 
3. REPORTS 
3.1 Trustee Reports 
  Trustee Fenton presented the following report: 
 Expressed gratitude to live and work in Lyackson and Penelakut territory. 
 Attended a re-opening ceremony for the Forbes Community Hall. 
 Is planning to attend a healing circle event on Thetis Island on September 30, 2021, 
the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 
 Attended a meeting with the Trust Policy Committee.

 Attended a meeting with the Islands Trust Conservancy. 
 Attended meetings with the Thetis Island Nature Conservancy (ThINC) regarding a 
community composting initiative and a nature stewardship project. 
 
  Trustee Luckham presented the following report: 
 Expressed gratitude to live and work in Lyackson and Penelakut territory. 
 Acknowledged the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 
2021. 
 Attended meetings with the Regional Planning Committee regarding a draft 
Regional Shoreline Model Protection Bylaw. 
 Attended meetings with the Trust Programs Committee regarding the Islands Trust 
Policy Statement update.  He expressed appreciation to the community for 
supporting the work to update the Trust Policy Statement. The Trust Policy 
Statement is a Federation-wide guiding principles document to support the work of 
the Islands Trust including First Nations Reconciliation, climate change adaptation 
and affordable housing. 
 Attended meetings with the Financial Planning Committee regarding preparations 
for the 2022-23 draft budget. 
 Attended a meeting with the Trust Council Go
