1. CALL TO ORDER 
"Please note, the order of agenda items may be modified during the meeting. Times are provided 
for convenience only and are subject to change." 
Chair Patrick called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m. She acknowledged that the meeting was 
being held in territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. Chair Patrick expressed support for the 
Penelakut Nation and continued reconciliation. 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
By general consent the agenda was approved as presented. 
3. REPORTS 
3.1 Trustee Reports 
  Trustee Luckham presented the following report: 
 Attended Trust Council June 8 to 10, 2021. 
 Attended a Trust Council special meeting on July 8, 2021 to consider the draft Trust 
Policy  Statement. Trust  Council  deferred  first  reading  of  the  draft Trust  Policy 
Statement to continue the public consultation process. 
 Attended a Salt Spring Island Local Trust Committee meeting. 
 Attended a Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee meeting. 
 Expressed gratitude to live and work on Thetis Island within the Penelakut territory. 
 Spoke to the water shortages and impacts to the environment. 
 Participated in a Walk for Children event organized by the Penelakut Nation on August 
2, 2021. Approximately 1500 people attended the event.

Director L. Smith joined the meeting at 9:35 a.m. 
 
  Trustee Fenton presented the following report: 
 Expressed gratitude to live and work in Lyackson and Penelakut territory. 
 Participated in a Walk for Children event organized by the Penelakut Nation on August 
2, 2021. 
 Attended an Islands Trust Conservancy meeting. 
 Attended a site visit to Sidney Island with Islands Trust Conservancy staff and 
Raincoast Conservation Federation staff regarding land stewardship.  
 Attended a Trust Policy Committee meeting. 
 Attended Trust Council June 8 to 10, 2021. 
 Attended a Trust Council special meeting on July 8, 2021 to consider the Trust Policy 
Statement. Trust Council deferred first reading of the draft Trust Policy Statement to 
continue the public consultation process. 
 Attended a meeting with the Thetis Island Nature Conservancy (Thinc) regarding 
habitat stewardship opportunities for Thetis Island. 
 Trustee Fenton expressed support for a community composting project.
