CVRD Regional Recreation – Facility Use analysis 2021/2022 
Nine Regionally Recreation Facilities: Frank Jameson Community Centre, Fuller Lake Arena, Cowichan 
Community Centre, Cowichan Performing Arts Centre, Cowichan Aquatic Centre, Cowichan Lake 
Recreation, Kerry Park Recreation Centre, Shawnigan Lake Community Centre & Cowichan Sportsplex.  
Usage data will be collected from November 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. The visitation data will be 
collected from three sources: Program registrations for recreation centres, Drop in user surveys and 
User group membership lists. 
The facility use analysis will provide usage % breakdowns for each Electoral Area, Municipality and First 
Nations. The 2021/2022 analysis and the 2017 usage analysis will provide an average usage %.  The 
usage percentages will then be used to determine the costs of operations and main
