1. CALL TO ORDER 
Chair Busheikin called the meeting to order at 10:15 am. The public was welcomed and 
staff and trustees were introduced. She acknowledged that the meeting was being held 
in the traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. 
 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
The following additions to the agenda were presented for consideration: 
10.1.1 Dog boarding definition for discussion 
5.1.1 Verbal update on organizing Mudge Island Local Trust Committee (LTC) 
meeting.  
8.1.3 Email from Victor Fafard regarding Temporary Use Permits. 
 
By general consent the agenda was approved as amended. 
 
3. TOWN HALL AND QUESTIONS 
Bart Jessup (776 Roxanne Blvd) spoke on behalf of the Gabriola Citizens Rights 
Coalition.  He noted that he has already submitted to the board what he would be 
speaking on (and also offered handouts at the meeting) but was there to highlight some 
keynotes. He highlighted the need for improvement to employment and property rights 
on the island and summarized the six remedies offered in the handout. 
 
Discussion ensued amongst trustees.  It was noted that some of the remedies offered in 
Bart Jessup’s handout were currently being looked at and covered in the draft strategic 
plan at Trust Council. It was emphasized that this was still a draft.

4. MINUTES 
4.1. Local Trust Committee Minutes Dated April 2, 2015 – for adoption 
The following amendments to the minutes were presented for consideration: 
 Correct the spelling of Naomi Beth Wakan throughout the minutes 
 7.2 Change the last paragraph to read “...staff in Victoria and other 
Gabriola LTC members to draft a statement.” 
 9.1, Page 5, change “Cross-Governess” to “Cross-Governance” in 
Resolutions GB-2015-022 and GB-2015-023 
 
By general consent, the Local Trust Committee meeting minutes of April 2, 
2015 were adopted as amended.

receipt
