August 16, 2022 – for immediate release 2022-17-IT September 2022 Islands Trust Council Quarterly Meeting Announced Lək ̓ ʷəŋən, METULIYE/Victoria, B.C. – Islands Trust Council invites the public to participate in and observe its next business meeting being held electronically September 20-22, 2022. The public may listen and participate by telephone, join the meeting by computer or smartphone, or simply watch the meeting on a computer or smartphone. ** This will be the last Trust Council meeting of the 2018-2022 term as local governments, candidates, and voters prepare for the October 15 th elections. Trust Council meets quarterly to make decisions about matters that apply to the Islands Trust Area, and parts of the meeting involve routine business. Trust Council receives, discusses, and makes decisions about policies, finances, and proposed work for the coming quarter. Trust Council works to preserve and protect over 450 islands and their surrounding waters in the Salish Sea. Input, comments, ideas, and feedback on topics related to the jurisdiction of the Islands Trust are welcomed.
