At the December, 2021 Trust Council meeting, the following resolution was
carried:
That Islands Trust Council request that the Regional Planning Committee
add to its work program the development of an Islands Trust Freshwater
Sustainability Strategy policy document and recommendations for
implementation of the Freshwater Sustainability Strategy.

The motion to recommend the Lieutenant Governor in Council create a Housing Authority for the
Islands Trust Area under Sec 8.2, of the Trust Act, is redundant and unnecessary. BC Housing has
the jurisdiction, authority, and administration, already in place for providing assistance for all
types of housing, along with the funding and capacity to
