1. CALL TO ORDER 
Chair Patrick called the meeting to order at 11:31 a.m. She acknowledged that the meeting was 
being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. 
Chair Patrick introduced Trustees Brent and Middleton, new Saturna Island Planner Smith and 
other staff. 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
By general consent the agenda was approved as presented. 
3. TRUSTEE REPORT 
Trustee Brent reported of his participation in inter-island Zoom meetings in his capacity as 
Harbours Commissioner, Parks and Rec Chair and Community Economics Sustainability 
Commissioner. 
Trustee Middleton reported of inter-agency calls in response to COVID-19. 
Trustee Middleton gave an update of the Transport Canada distance consultation regarding 
Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKWs) recovery measures for 2020: 
 More information would come at the Trust Council meeting in June; 
 The SRKW sanctuary zones would include a 20-metre transit zone for human powered 
vessels; 
 LTC to work with staff and express support via a letter for federal vessel speed, fishing 
and boat access management measures that come into effect June 1, 2020

Chair Patrick thanked both Trustees for their COVID-19 response in their community. 
4. CHAIR'S REPORT 
Chair Patrick mentioned the June Trust Council Meeting would be the first electronic meeting 
and that the deadline for delegations was firmly three weeks prior the meeting.

By general consent, the Local Trust Committee meeting minutes of April 16, 
2020 were adopted. 
8.2 Section 26 Resolutions-without-meeting Report Dated May 2020 
  Received for information.  
9. BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES 
9.1 Follow-up Action List Dated May 2020 
Planner Smith mentioned that all was complete regarding his input and he will do some 
follow-up. 
Trustee Middleton explained that there was no intent to write a letter of local 
government support until SRKWs recovery measures were officially released.
