Public: There were approximately four (4) members of the public.  
 
1. CALL TO ORDER 
Chair Rogers called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.  Chair Rogers acknowledged that the 
meeting was being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
 The following amendments to the agenda were presented for consideration: 
 To add:   
 9.1 Youth Leadership 
 13.3 Personnel 
  By general consent the agenda was adopted as amended. 
3. TOWN HALL AND QUESTIONS 
A member of the public raised a question on Island Trust’s position on UNDRIP (United Nations 
Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Persons). 
 Chair Rogers stated UNDRIP has been adopted as part of the Reconciliation Project and more  
information is available on the Islands Trust website.

5. PUBLIC HEARING

6. MINUTES 
6.1 Local Trust Committee Minutes Dated January 27, 2020 (for Adoption) 
The following amendments to the minutes were presented for consideration: 
 Motions MA-2020- 001, 002, 014, 015 and 017:  to change “direct” to 
“request”. 
 Motion MA-2020-011 to change “carried” to “deferred”. 
By general consent the minutes were adopted as amended. 
   MA-2020-018 
   It was Moved and Seconded, 
that Mayne Island Local Trust Committee motions be recorded to read “request 
staff” where appropriate.

6.2 Section 26 Resolutions-without-meeting Report 
None 
6.3 Advisory Planning Commission Minutes 
None 
7. BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES 
7.1 Follow-up Action List Dated February 2020 
  Planner Richardson reviewed report.   
Trustees requested that Item 12 also include meeting with Ministry of Transportation    
and that Items 7 and 13 be referred to APC. 
8. DELEGATIONS 
 None 
9. CORRESPONDENCE 
 9.1 Youth Leadership 
Trustee Maude addressed correspondence from Paul Petrie regarding Trustees 
nominating participants for a week long seminar to be held on Pender. 
Discussion focused on appropriateness of request and short notice as seminar is first 
week of March. 
The LTC identified that if there are names to be put forth this could be done through 
Resolution-Without-Meetin
