Public:        There were approximately seven (7) members of the public. 
 
1. CALL TO ORDER 
A Fallow Deer Presentation made by the Capital Regional District was held prior to the Local 
Trust Committee (LTC) meeting.   
Chair Rogers called the meeting to order at 2:40 p.m. Chair Rogers acknowledged that the 
meeting was being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations.  
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
 Item 4 was to be removed from agenda. 
 By general consent the agenda was adopted as amended. 
3. TOWN HALL AND QUESTIONS 
 None 
4. COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETING 
None

6. MINUTES 
6.1 Local Trust Committee Minutes Dated October 28, 2019  
The following amendments to the minutes were presented for consideration: 
 Item 13.1.1 – In the second sentence, change (except Pender) to (except Salt 
Spring Island); and 
 Item 13.6 - Point 4 to read:  Planning is underway for the First Nations Senior 
Policy Advisor to come to the December Trust Council to present on Residential 
Schools. 
By general consent the minutes were adopted as amended. 
6.2 Section 26 Resolutions-without-meeting Report Dated January 2020 
  Received for information. 
6.3 Advisory Planning Commission Minutes 
None 
7. BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES 
7.1 Follow-up Action List Dated January 2020 
Planner Smith clarified that density potential and vacant property maps still to be 
completed for Item 7.

   It was Moved and Seconded , 
  that the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee request staff to add to Follow-up  
Action Report that a meeting be organized with Capital Regional District Building 
Department and Southern Gulf Island Trustees (excluding Salt Spring Island).

9. CORRESPONDENCE 
  MA-2020-002 
   It was Moved and Seconded, 
   that the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee request staff to post  
correspondence from Mayne Island Improvement District, dated November 28, 
2019, regarding Waste Disposal on the web site.
