Your contributions on behalf of islanders have been remarkable, and the expertise as an independent transportation consultant which you brought to the position has been invaluable. During your term as Chair, you have steered the FAC ship through some very rough seas. Your dedication and commitment, your rigorous analysis, and your enthusiasm for engagement have benefitted Gabriolans tremendously in the quest for an affordable, reliable, sustainable ferry service. You have managed dialogue between the FAC, BC Ferries, and the community respectfully and effectively. The great respect that most islanders have for the FAC is due in no small part to your efforts. We wish you the best of luck on your return to the UK, and hope that you won't miss the ferries too much--although we applaud your choice to continue living on an island!
