That the minutes of November 16, 2015 be adopted as presented.

The Follow-Up Action List was provided for information and review.
4. TRUST COUNCIL BUSINESS
4.1 Crown Land Protocol Project – Revised project charter
Staff advised that the Crown Land Protocol project has not progressed since
November as Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (FLNRO)
staff have not responded. Staff noted that FLNRO processes seem to be changing.
Discussion ensued about how to encourage FLNRO staff to participate in the
project. Members suggested that staff circulate the Request for Decision justifying
the need for the protocol, keep the project charter on each Trust Programs
Committee agenda until complete and create an inventory of recent and current
Crown Land applications in the Islands Trust Area if it helps demonstrate the need
for updating the Letter of Understanding.

It was MOVED and SECONDED,
That the Trust Programs Committee request that the Islands Trust Chair
write a letter to the Minister re updating the Crown Land Protocol Agreement.

It was MOVED and SECONDED,
That the motion be amended by adding the words “that the Executive
Committee direct” after the word “request”.
