1. CALL TO ORDER

Chair Grams called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm. He acknowledged that the meeting
was being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations.

2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA

The following item was presented for consideration:
Add: 12.2.1 Rezoning application for Anson Road.

By general consent the agenda was approved as amended.

3. TOWN HALL AND QUESTIONS

Andrew Pearson, on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, spoke to concerns regarding
parking in Miners Bay and that the Chamber is exploring having an Information Booth in
the Miners Bay area. There may be a planning committee formed of all parties impacted
by traffic/parking issues.

Trustee Dodds stated the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) is
responsible for parking and that it may be more of a management issue of the existing
spaces. This could tie in with the Commercial Review project as parking is determined
by zoning.

Trustee Crumblehulme spoke in favour of the initiative.

Trustees were supportive of going to a meeting if arranged by the Chamber of
Commerce; however, needs and wants have to be addressed to MoTI.

Ian Dow addressed the Riparian Area Regulations. There have been some changes to
the legislation however the studies paid for by the islanders demonstrated no natural fish
habitats.
