There were 4 members of the public present 
 
1. CALL TO ORDER 
Chair Grams called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm.  He acknowledged that the meeting 
was being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations.  He introduced 
the Trustees and staff. 
 
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 
 The following additions to the agenda were presented for consideration: 
 
 9.1 Email from Paula Buchholz 
 9.2 Letter RE: Coates Family 
 9.3 Iredale letter RE: Campbell Bay property 
 
 By general consent the agenda, as amended, was Approved. 
  
3. TOWN HALL AND QUESTIONS 
Paula Buchholz requested that the Minutes of May 25, 2015 be amended to more 
accurately reflect her comments/concerns.  She requested the following revisions: her 
comments under Town Hall, last sentence, first paragraph, to read:  The subdivision 
would have been designed differently.  Owner’s understanding during various times of 
subdivision was that there would be 9 residences allowed on the 96 acres remainder.  
Proposed LUB change would only allow 2 residences. 
 
By general consent the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee agreed to revise the May 
25, 2015 minutes with the above cited amendments. 
 
Ms. Buchholz then questioned when the staff report dated April 16, 2015 would be 
finalized. 
 
Planner Richardson stated that the remainder lots subject to proposed revision would be 
presented at the July LTC meeting.

Ms. Buchholz asked when LUB 146 paragraph 8.3 (which speaks to required 
covenants) was last changed. 
 
Trustee Dodds reported it was inserted when Bylaw was created and was required in 
1980. 
 
Ms. Buchholz suggested that owners be notified if intending to change LUB/OCP if 
such changes affect their property. 
 
Planner Richardson reviewed the notification process as required by the Local 
Government Act. 
 
Trustee Dodds stated that a person can subscribe to automated updates from the local 
trust committee online.  The proposed amendments will be presented at a Public 
Hearing for community input.
