TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2014 
 
Call to Order 
 
The meeting was called to order at 1:22 pm.  Chair Malcolmson acknowledged that the meeting 
was being held in traditional territory of the Coast Salish First Nations. 
 
Twenty trustees were in attendance.   Trustees absent:  Andrew Stone, Bowen; Gisele Rudischer, 
Gabriola; Jeanine Dodds, Mayne; Gary Steeves, North Pender; George Grams, Salt Spring. 
 
 
Notice of New Items/Approval of the Agenda 
 
TC-2014-081 
It was MOVED by Trustee Stamford and SECONDED by Trustee Hagedorn, 
To add “Advocacy to expand the boundaries of Halkett Bay Provincial Marine Park” as a 
new business item. 
CARRIED  
 
TC-2014-082 
It was MOVED by Trustee Luckham and SECONDED by Trustee Hancock, 
To add “Trustee reporting out on contractual agreement” as a new business item. 
CARRIED  
 
By General Consent, the agenda was approved, as amended. 
 
CLOSED SESSION 
 
TC-2014-083 
It was MOVED by Trustee Luckham and SECONDED by Trustee Graham, 
That the Islands Trust Council meeting be closed to the public subject to Sections 90(1) 
(c),(f),(g),(i)  of the Community Charter in order to consider matters related to labour 
relations and other employee relations, bylaw enforcement, litigation or potential 
litigation affecting the Islands Trust, receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client 
privilege; and that CAO Linda Adams be invited to attend the entire meeting, and that 
Islands Trust staff be invited to attend Parts 2 and 3 of the meeting.
