3. TOWN HALL

Dan Giesbrecht of Ruxton Island expressed thanks for posted results of the Associated
Islands Survey and suggested that the deadline for submitting responses to the survey
be extended, especially the part regarding a vision for the future, and that at the end of
the process a pamphlet or reference guide be made available as a sort of road map of
how and where to begin for building and construction.

Judy Shaw of Ruxton Island also expressed thanks for the posted results of the
Associated Island Survey, and has reminded many people to submit their responses. In

regards to the outcome, she pointed out that people would interpret the results in
different ways, and that it is not necessarily true that people who live closer to the island
care more. Judy also asked about what data the Advisory Planning Commission would
receive and that the terms of reference regarding communication be clarified.

Chair Hancock and Planner Simpson spoke to the Advisory Planning Commission
Term of Reference. Survey results will be available to the Ruxton Island Advisory
Planning Commission and feedback on the open-ended question in the survey can still
be submitted.
Ernie Hunter of Thetis Island asked about the Advisory Planning Commission, public
attendance and input.

Chair Hancock responded that an Advisory Planning Commission meeting is not
intended to be a forum for public input, but that a Town Hall item can be included if the
Advisory Planning Commission so desires.
