5.1 Mayne Island Local Trust Committee Bylaw No. 180 - LUB Amendment No. 1, 2020 
 
 
Chair Rogers called the Public Hearing to order at 1:32 p.m.  He read a statement outlining the content, 
purpose, and process of the Public Hearing.  
 
Planner Chadwick reviewed the notice, referrals and public submissions received prior to the opening of 
the hearing. 
 
Paula Buchholz raised a number of concerns regarding zoning of St. John Point park and referred to 
correspondence of June 9, 2019 sent to CRD and submitted to Chair Rogers and Planner Richardson. 
 
Chair Rogers clarified that the Bylaw subject to the hearing would make changes to the Land Use Bylaw 
including the definition of Passive Park and is not a rezoning application, and the submission does not 
address items before the LTC at this time. 
 
Chair Rogers called three times for speakers. 
 
There being no further submissions, Chair Rogers closed the Public Hearing at 1:47 p.m.
